Kia ora tātou e te whānau i roto i ngā tū āhuatanga o te wā.   E mihi ana ki tēnei kaupapa ā tātou e whakakotahi ana i tēnā, i tēnā o tātou i runga i te whakaaro kōtahi.

  • Hoko Kai $3 - Our wharekura tuākana are running $3 kai (lunch only) every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the next 6 weeks. They can take orders each Monday-Thursday from 8.30am-9.15am.  They are using a cash only system so please ensure you have the cash available, as other forms of payment are not being accepted.  The wharekura tuākana have posted the menu on the Whakatupuranga Rua Mano facebook page.

  • Cross Country - Next Tuesday 29 May, our the tau 4 - 8’s will be participating in the inter Ōtaki schools cross country. Race times and distances

  • 9.45am Year 4 Girls 1400m

  • 9.55am Year 4 Boys 1400m

  • 10.05am Year 5 Girls 1400m

  • 10.15am Year 5 Boys 1400m

  • 10.30am Year 6 Girls 2000m

  • 10.45am Year 6 Boys 2000m

  • 11.00 am Year 7 (Girls & Boys) 2400m

  • 11.15 am Year 8 (Girls & Boys) 2400m

  • Matariki celebrations - Kura will be celebrating Matariki on Friday 15th June. Kura will begin at 6.00am and will finish at 12.00pm  This is still a full day of kura although the times have changed to start 3 hours earlier than usual, therefore our tamariki are expected to be present and engage in one of the main kaupapa we participate in here.  More information will be sent out during the term.

  • Parent Interviews - Parent interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, 20th June.  We will confirm how things will look over the next few weeks. Please note that reports will only be handed out at the parent interview, and will not sent home.

  • Subway Friday (please read) - Orders and cash payment MUST be received in the tari by no later than 2.00pm each Thursday.  Please note that if you have not ordered by this time, Subway may refuse to accept your order as a part of our kura orders.

  • Ngā Pukarangi a Ngā Tauira o Kura Takawaenga - Many of our tauira have misplaced or lost their chargers for their pukarangi (chromebook).  As part of the Kawa of Care, each pukarangi must be in good working order, this includes having a working charger.  If your tamaiti needs a new taura hiko (charger), If your tamaiti needs a new charger, you will have to pay for a new one from the tari or purchase one where they are available in some electronic stores.

  • Pūtaiao Wharekura Haerenga - A reminder that the year 10-13 Pūtaiao students have a planned trip to Wellington hospital this coming Friday, 25th May.  They will be working with the Pathology department at the hospital on some Science experiments. Students will leave kura by kura provided transport at 7.45am and return to kura by 4.30pm.  Lunch will be provided although students may want to take some extra food and drink. A permissions slip has been sent out to Matua Glenn - can these be returned asap please? If you have not received the form, please ask your child to collect one so that it can be signed and returned promptly to Matua Glenn.

  • Tau 9 Haerenga: Pūtaiao - This pānui is to advise whānau that our year 9 Pūtaiao students have a trip planned to the Carter Observatory in Wellington on Friday, 8th June.  A permission slip has been sent out by Matua Glenn. Can this permission slip be completed and returned as soon as possible please? If you have not received a form and you need one, please come in to the tari to collect.

  • Kura uniform - Every kura whānau is well aware of what our kura uniform is.  We have been seeing alot of our students turn up to the kura without the correct uniform.  It is your responsibility to ensure that this doesn’t continue.

    • For chromebook tauira: The parent portal is up and active. You can log on via the following link: http://parent-portal.appspot.com/wrm.school.nz.  You can login via your child's email eg: tute@wrm.school.nz The password is the child's email name and wrm added eg. tutewrm.

    • Kura APP -  For those whanau who have just joined WRM, there is a kura App that will keep you involved in the goings on within the kura. You can download to your iPhone, Samsung or other smart phone. Go to the App store for iPhones, or play store for Androids - e.g. Samsung, type in Whakatupuranga Rua Mano and download the App.

    • Kura Facebook page - Kura has a facebook page where we post events, goings on etc. Log into to keep informed or ask to join: search Whakatupuranga Rua Mano www.facebook.com/groups/1163536420330796/
