We have received some expressions of interest from parents to be a Kaimanaaki - Te Haerenga ki Kawhia - Volunteer Assistant.  Anyone else wishing to volunteer please contact Anihaera so kura can complete the Police Vetting Procedure.  You will also need:

2 forms of I.D. are required - (1 from each category)

Primary I.D. - passport, birth certificate, firearms licence

Secondary I.D. - driver licence, 18+ card, Community Services Card

Volunteer numbers will be capped

  • Pepa whakaae/Permission slips - Attached are permission slips giving permission for your child/children to attend the Kawhia haerenga on the 16th Sept. The permission slips are due back this Friday 10th August.  We have also included the Kaimanaaki - Volunteer Assistant Forms.  Please only complete and return these forms if you are able to assist us.  Please note, you will need to complete a Police vetting as per the instruction of Whaea Anihaera above.

  • Debt Recovery -$72,000 - At the whānau hui, the whānau were once again made aware of the outstanding whanau debt which as of today is $71,504 - of this $27,644 relates to previous years up until the end of 2017.  For 2018 we have accumulated debts of $43,859. We remind whānau that there are responsibilities as whānau of the kura and non-payment of your account means that the kura and ultimately the tamariki may suffer because of it. A debt recovery policy was passed three whānau hui ago which includes our ability to engage a debt recovery agency. We will be contacting all whanau who have pre 2018 debts and are hopeful that arrangements can be made as we see the use of a debt recovery agency is a last resort.

  • NCEA Fees - these are due this term and the cost is $76.70 and must be received during August, a reduction is available if for instance you hold a Community Services Card ($20 per student or $30 per family). Please contact Anihaera, if you require a Financial Assistance Form or alternatively call into the tari.
